That's a lot to put towards your first car. Most people spend around the £2000-2500 mark, including insurance. If you like classics, have a look at Mk2 Jettas. I'm assuming as you want something "sporty", you're not interested in hatchbacks? You would probably be able to get a nice Seat Leon within your budget.. they're nice cars and fast(ish) as they're not too heavy but don't look particularly "sporty".

Well, I kinda like the Civic Type R, But am struggling to find a model with a engine under 2.0 Litres.

I recommend a peel trident.. look them up on google it's great..!

No.. I recommend a ford or something similar, they are supposedly reliable.

That's because Type R's only come with 2L engines. Other than the EK9's, the first gen of Type R'S.

The EK9's were only available in a 1.6L engine size.

Vauxhall Corsa, mod it up a bit to make it look sporty and put a bigger exhaust on it. You will have leftover money for insurance and modifications.

Modifications double the price of your insurance. So, that would be stupid. Wait a few years before modifying a car.

Then if you're pulled over by police or make a claim(which the majority of new drivers do), then the insurance can refuse to pay out or even have your car taken off you(as far as I'm aware).

It's just a risk you have to take unless you wait until you're older so the insurance is cheaper.

If you get pulled over by police, thats your butt gone. Just get a old car, like a Mk1 Golf, or similar cars?
