Need help with garage glitch

Every time I try to do the Glitch to put any vehicle in garage it messes up and spawns me in some other location instead of garage. can someone explain what im doing wrong or link to a good video to explain?

yes, it's horizontal. I have it a good distance away. it just keeps spawning me else where.
