A "Gefore 780 ti" would be a little over your price, but it sure will run any games on ultra, and get many FPS.

GTX 660 is currenly 180 on new egg with nearly 1000 cuda cores its the best card for the money right now

The amd cards are back to normal price and the 280x is the best card for around $300

I am VERY pleased with my 760. I get at LEAST more than 60 highest settings best Anti Aliasing. As I recall it ran slightly under 300$? I got the 4gb superclocked ed as well so that may be an important factor. I can almost run the new Wolfenstein XD
