Ok so i am tryig to get notepad++ to download but my laptop wont let me i am on the newest windows and i have avast for anti virus. When i go to download ir pops up with a black bar the says that my computer cas blocked it and if i click run anywaysit wont let me run the installer. Does anyone knpw hpw to bypass this so i can get this program to download really need it bad. So if anyone is amazing with computer please leave a step by step in the comments below i will plus rep anyone who helps me out and it works.

Right-click on the Avast icon in the taskbar and just disable it for a little bit while you install the program.
If it continues to give you problems open up Avast, click on scan, click exclusions, and just add the program to the list.

I spent all day trying to get it to download and it finally worked i had to go through filehippo to make it work the regular website was blocked my add blocker. Thank you so so so so so much. You are the best person in the world.

It seems odd that Avast would block a download like this and it makes me think you may have downloaded a bad copy of it that has an adware installer or something. A legitimate download is on Sourceforge and the links on the site are hosted on a site called TuxFamily, which also supports free (as in freedom) software.
