Yes, if anyone remembers I hosted one about a month or two and the whole page was filled with people not entering. It was sad because I had to gift a guy who ended up scamming someone.

My point exact, it could of been your post that i saw. lol
Just recently I saw someone who have been here for a month and have 600+ post and most of his post were saying thanks for the giveaway in giveaways and also in introduce yourself, sitting there welcoming people.

I must agree that this really is stupid.
People must get about an extra 30 posts a week just doing this. Seriously, stupid spam...

It doesn't really bother me to be honest, but I could see how it could agitate someone.

I say thanks its just showing you actually care that they are doing something nice for the community and people actually appreciate it when other thank them

I would rather gold members click the thank button than post thanks.

It's just an excuse to post, therefor increasing your amount of posts. As other people have said in this topic, a simple click of the thanks button is better and gives the Topic Creator a clearer view of who actually wants to take part in the giveaway/competition.

Sometimes i think its annoying too, im doing a gold giveaway now and theres only 3 people who entered and the rest is people saying thanks it doesn't make it easier.
