My room keeps shutting down like my lights my pc shutt down twice . I had my box fan plugged in my pc modem router and my monitor and a ac plugged in . And it shut down twice . But i removed my box fan and it hasn't shut off . I just bought my $1990 pc todays ago and a power surge . 750w psu will this shut my room down again ??. Or it was justbecause the ac and box fan ? I had 2 old pc set up monitors everything two days ago . And it was fine with the box fan. Do u think it would be the wall outlet ? I bought a surge protector just needed tips. It hasn't happend for about 30 minutes was odd it happend today didnt notice it .

I've been told in the past by a few electricians that surge protectors don't actually protect anything they just act as another extension cable and your room shouldn't be tripping the electric with that (I have a 50" Plasma TV, 3 PC Monitors, my electrical chargers, 2 fish tanks, a turtle tank, an xbox 360/one, SKY +hd box, ps3/4 and my 750 watt gaming pc (probably more as well) running from one wall plug 8 different extension cables haha, and my room hasn't tripped the electric ever other than when my old rubbish water heater blew up and killed all my fish but thankfully didnt damage the tank or it would be 64 litres going through the floor :/), I'd get in touch with the electric board you are with as it could be something serious wrong with your elecric cables, as that shouldnt be happening

On the back of your power supply is there a switch where you can change the voltage? If so make sure you are using the right kind with your area or residence. If this isn't the problem that's really strange.
