Thanks for the quick reply, How would I get it on to the new pc which doesn't have an OS?

Personally I would stick with windows 7..

Well first you need an os on the pc, if you have an install cd for win 7 it would make it easy, but if you don't have an os cd you will have four options.
#1 take a hdd from a pc that already has an os installed on it and instal it to the new pc as it's main hdd.
#2 connect the new hdd to a pc and install the os to it that way.
#3 Make a usb boot disk for os install their are tuts for that.
#4 make an os instal cd

I use Win 8.1 and it far surpasses windows 7 in most games, although it is still buggy in certain games and the metro start menu gets in the way sometimes. Their were benchmarking tests that show how windows 8 is better then windows 7, but everyone has their own oppions
