This will be easy, The ssd I have shown you are they best in my opinion, as far as SSD's are concerned, However the main draw back of an SSD is you can't keep re- installing os systems, you can do it a fair amount but it wont last for ever and certainly wont last as long as a traditional hard drive, you have less space aswell compaired to a HDD for a boost in boot speed and read and write speed.
If you want to dual boot linux and win8 I have to ask why?, whats the point in running them both?
And price is always a huge diffrence in SSD compaired to HDDS.

Lifetime: Depends on what type of SSD it is. A SLC SSD (Single layer cell) will usually last a lifetime in theory. But the SLC is a lot more expensive. However, an MLC (Multi layer cell) will usually last around 10 years at max. Most consumer SSD's are MLC btw.
Less Space: 4TB SSD's are being developed by Sandisk. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
As for duel booting, I personally wouldn't do it. It can cause issues, and in my case render Windows useless.

128GB is usually enough for the OS and a few games or heavily used programs. But 250GB can be more useful if you are willing to spend the extra.

I Dual boot but I installed ubuntu on my HDD as I don't use it all the time and I don't need the speed.
I'd suggest a 250gb if you've got the money for one.
SSD's may have a shorter life span but by the time it would of died you'd of gone through several systems
