My control says I have a headset plugged in although I do not have a headset plugged in. And when I am to plug my headset in it does not work...Please help, will highly appreciate it. Thank you

Disconnect your controller. Re-connect it. Plug in your head set.

Turn off your xbox. And try it again.

Try re-syncing your controller to your Xbox?
I'm not sure why it would do that.

If you've got another controller, try it with that
and see if it works, then you can tell whether it's your controller or the mic.
(or xbox)

Maybe the controller needs more charge to function or your controller has broken.
