In 1213, the Pope made a treaty with King John of England which gave all British lands to the Vatican. Is is true that the Pope now owns the whole world?

The pope once did control the world, but that was during the middle ages. Now the pope does have some power but not enough to control the world.

But that power then and the actions that people did for him still effects him today.

No, the Pope does not currently own the world, and neither does the Catholic church.

He's like a priest, but he holds ceremonies for thousands at a time. He blesses tourists, and has to visit around 20 of his Bishops per week.

That's it really.

He is practically the "king" of the Catholics "chosen by God". In older times he and the Vatican had massive amounts of power.
They delayed science by killing scientists and anything that went against there current beliefs.
But that was then and this is now.
He doesn't really do anything just considered the most holy person in the world for Catholics. He does not control the world. Just a guy with a big hat.

In todays society the pope is nothing more than the figurehead and the supposed spiritual leader of the catholic church.

Like the user above me stated. He is just a figure, he is the head of the catholic church. In the middle ages the church controlled everything, now not really at all. So no, the Pope does not own the world.

when there is peace in the middle east the roman empire will take back over. putting the pope in direct control of the world. the Catholic Church will force one world religion and prob force bitcoin as one world currency.
