this a conversion i made a while back
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
this a 360 in a pc tower running a 3.5" internal hdd and atx power supply (no power brick)
board hard wired to atx for power
this is the cooling i set up before installing
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
i added 4 more usb ports to the front for the instruments
and remapped the eject and connect button (easy)
not easy the remapping of the rf unit about killed me and cutting the
faceplate and using epoxy and bondo to get it loooking half right
remapping the internal hdd to a sata wire wasnt fun either
there is a point here about jtag units
its not about modded lobby's its about the use of any interal hdd i choose
in this case 3.5" 1 tb
its the fact that this machine runs rockband 2 with 981 songs i found some where
it has an nes emualtor with over 1000 games
it has mame installed with 800+ games
it has 298 xbl arcade games i found some where
it has 94 official 360 games in god containers
it runs linux with plenty of room for a usb keyboard and mouse
my point so much more to do with a jtag then just host lobby's
dont get it twisted

honestly this did take a long time and a lot headbanging the remap of the rf unit was just insane
its only 9 wires u have to solder from mobo to the rf but gave me hell
and this basicial involves physically removing the connecters on board , the rf connector , the hd connector the power connecter and the us connecters
not for the faint of heart
ive seen other ones done but the towers were to big imo ..this is the smallest possible i could use abd still fit an atx power supply in it
thank you for the credit , i really appreciate that for all the work
i had an offer of $1000 for it already and declined just bcause fo the work invovled
if any one serious about doing something like this , here is the bible of the every connector and pinout on the the 360 motherboard in pdf
sorry link is down will post when back up
