People do it on TTG like crazy. Like for instance if someone asks if their xbox account can be unbanned and the first person says the ban is final. Then you get 15 more replies saying the exact same thing. People do it just to boost their post count and it irks me so much.

The following 2 users thanked Wortth for this useful post:

That's what happens. It's part of using forums. Just get staff to close the topic after the correct answer has been accepted. Because, otherwise, other users will continue to input their thoughts and opinions and what not. And, the staff can't really punish users for putting that sort of thing as long as the comment/post is on topic within the topic they are commenting on! Because, if they started banning or warning people for using the posting system as it was intended would cause an outrage and kill the site.

However, I do understand how seeing the answer over and over again could get annoying and what not.

I've only been here a bit and I've seen this happen already at least 4 or 5 times. It does look like people are trying to up there post counts.

It's only acceptable for me if someone makes a more detailed response than the first reply. But if they copy the same response, then it's just spam. What also bugs me is when these "question threads" go up to three pages with same response.
