It would help them to get what they wanted, it could make people sign up for the army if in need of soldiers. and for this gatorade argument it could boost sales and then the government would benefit from the tax money the company would pay.

What would the government gain from pairing up with Gatorade?
Of all companies, why choose Gatorade? They make $228 million a quarter (billion a year), but other companies like Coke make over $30 billion a year.
Obviously the government would choose to gain more money by working with Coke if this were a real thing.
