Im moving up to my loft pretty soon and at the moment my PC is connected via Ethernet cable to the modem (I think its the Modem, the one provided by the ISP). But when I go to the loft I cant use an ethernet as it will be too long so what will I use as I dont want to use WiFi as there is many walls and distance etc. Do I get another router or what?
Im not as touched up on my Internet knowledge as I should be.
Thanks in advance.

You could use powerline adapters. Essentially they use the electrical wiring as a wired network.

Yeah I asked my electrician when he was putting the sockets in but he said it would cost a bit

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Would this help ? Like plug it in and put an ethernet into the back and into my pc?

It may work. What I'm on about wouldn't require any additional sockets, it uses your existing electrical wiring.

You plug one into the wall near your router then run an ethernet cable into it , then the other one would go where your PC is and either connect directly from the adapter into your PC or connect into another router so you can have a wireless network.

Get home plugs, one goes in downstairs next to your router connected into it with a ethernet cable. One into your socket upstairs then a ethernet cable from it into your pc.
