USA played well, not doubting that, shame that Portugal couldn't progress.
Goodluck beating Belgium though.

Firstly, they are horrible at keeping the ball. If you can't keep the ball then it will lead to you being punished. Against Portugal the equaliser came from Bradley losing the ball in the centre of the park. The USA must not do this against Belgium. Secondly, the full backs can't defend. They are happy enough attacking but when they lose the ball they are left with a shortage of bodies at the back. If you want to beat the USA then you must use the wide areas. Belgium should look to pull the USA forward and expose the fact that they are weak on the flanks with a counter attack. I don't think that the USA will go through. Belgium may not be a great team but they have quality and that quality should be enough.
It all depends on how Hazard plays. If he's at his best, USA will lose.
He's their best player by a mile. Imagine an inform Hazard against MLS quality defenders.i know he is, i also know the USA defence is nothing special but 1 player being on form doesnt win the game
Lionel Messi disagrees.not at all look at the players Messi has around him! Di Maria has had an amazing tournament. also theres a bit of a difference between Messi and Hazard
He single handedly won the games against Iran and Nigeria..the best player in the world vs Iran and Nigeria... you should expect so too!
So why can't Hazard (one of the best players in the world) do the same to USA?
IF he's at his best.
Hazard is no Messi
USA are better than those 2 teams
Messi had better players to pass with than than Hazard does
(Messi didnt do everything on his own before you say)

I personally don't see Hazard as a player with that sort of effect. He isn't a player who you can lean and rely on like Messi or Ronaldo is. He needs good players around him to allow him to play. Hazard will create chances for you but he needs movement from others to allow him to provide a chance for someone else or to give him space and time to fashion his own chance. Hazard will be important as he will be playing out wide(where the USA are at their weakest). If Hazard is on form then the game will be easier but it will not be as simple as just showing up.
I think that the Belgians will come through 1-0. The goal will come from a cross or a cut back.

Beasley played in Premier League for Manchester City, in Bundesliga for Hannover, in Scotland for Rangers, and he's now playing in Liga MX.
Besler is completely an MLS defender. He's been playing there his whole life.
Gonzalez is also an MLS defender despite going on loan to FC Nuremberg. He went there and in the very first training session he tore his A.C.L. by Timothy Chandler, who also plays for USA.
Geoff Cameron is currently playing for Stoke.
Fabian Johnson has literally been playing in Bundesliga his whole life. Wolfsburg, Hoffenheim, and now Monchengladbach.

Beasley and Johnson can't defend. They leave the USA exposed to counter attacks. Beasley isn't a natural defender either. The man spent his career as a winger. The centre backs are meh. They are your average defender.
