Show me some proof of this please.
Please tell me what amd cpu will beat i7 4930k. I was talking about me personally I always upgrade a budget build within months.
You definetely showed him proof... To be honest the only Real difference between AMD and intel is price. A $500 Cpu is completely overkill unless your trying to build a beast. I doubt anyone will just buy this cpu just for a better gaming experince or something simple. AMD doesnt even make cpus above $400. But seriously That cpu is completely unnecessary.

And how exactly does an i7 4930K relate to the OP's budget?
You can't compare Intel's best CPU against AMD's because Intel wins hands down, but when it comes to a tight budget, AMD are the better choice.
Take the FX-6300, I have mine and it is overclocked and it is performing better than my friends i3. The best part is that it was a heck of a lot cheaper.
OP, go with Sanctorum's build. The better GPU is going to be worth it.

I ment that amd still havent been able to create a cpu that could go head to head with intels top of the line cpu.
I never said the cpu was within budget I was just trying to show that intel are able to make more powerful cpus than amd.

We weren't talking about AMD's top of the line CPU against Intel's top of the line CPU. I've said multiple times in this forum- Intel for a large budget, AMD if you have a tighter budget. For OP's budget, the FX-6300 is going to be a better choice.

I never said I wouldnt but the i3 8s still more powerful that the fx 6300. Intel make more powerful cpus than amd fullstop amd have not even gotten a cpu close to intels top end cpus. Thats why i said 8ntel make m9re powerful cpus. Im not going to keep going on about this. Sorry op about this.

The i3 has more performance per core but the fx 6300 has more cores making it better.
Can we drop this now?

I Know Alexxy has proven you wrong, but I need to add to this.
Intel is better than AMD huh? AMD were the first to reach the 1GHz mark with CPU's, Intel then copied it.
AMD are better overclockers. The OP won't need to buy an unlocked CPU because the FX line is all unlocked.
Finally , for the price of the 6300, you get a low end i3. I would rather have the more cores than the efficiency.

Alexyy wroteAnd the i3 has two cores and 4 threads. An i3 4130 vs FX-6300 would be based on preference to be honest. Both perform the same and the 4130 would benefit in some games/programs same goes to FX-6300. Here's some vague proof.FivePounds wroteSanctrum wroteFivePounds wrote I ment that amd still havent been able to create a cpu that could go head to head with intels top of the line cpu. That was never the subject. I would personally go for the i3 just because later on I can upgrade to an i5. Intel also has better resale value. By the way, with the money you spend on a decent cooler and a decent motherboard to overclock the FX-6300. You could probably buy an i5 with that.
Edit: You can buy an i5 with that. FX-6300(OC): [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] i5: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

To the derp saying that AMD has never put Intel on the backfoot with processors should really look back to the Athlon and Phenom days. Those chips probably was the sole reason for Intel's Core i series.
