Maybe a Nissan 350z? I've seen some for around $4K.
You just gotta look around and you'll find a cheap car.

The problem with what you want is that speed=cost. Be prepared to spend a lot on insurance for a fast car.

I have an 04 Pontiac Grand Prix has a 3800 in it and i freakin love the car it's fast but i suggest a Pontiac G6 GTP(supercharged) or a G8 and if that doesn't fit your needs idk what will.

I would highly suggest not buying a sports car for your first ride. First off, the insurance rates will be insane. Secondly, I don't see any parents allowing their kid to buy a sports car especially for them being a new driver. It could only lead to trouble like speeding tickets.

I'm amazed how you have a 6-7k budget and you just got your license...
I got mine in February and I'll be saving up for a year for about a 1.5k car.
