I got a little angry and hit my iPhone 4 ... (I know i shouldn't of, don't tell me that) so the screen went black with red lines on it and then went completely black. When i press the home button, the backlight comes on, and i can slide to unlock so I don't know what I should do with it? I think as i can still use the touchscreen and the backlight come on, can't I just take the back off and reconnect a wire? Or will I need a new LCD?

You will need a new LCD if the one you are using is damaged.

You've broke the screen, this happened to me. You will have to take the phone apart and replace the lcd and digitizer
