About 7 weeks ago I agreed to make a Jasper console for a friend and ordered parts from MrConsoles without a thought about it, only to receive an email saying the transaction had been cancelled because we had argued about the last transaction. What basically happened was, I bought a CronusMax which took 5 weeks to deliver, the guy reckoned it had a 'pre-order' symbol next to it, yet I didn't once see one, so as you can imagine I was pissed off with waiting for it.
After reading this email, I discovered I was going to have to get a friend to complete the purchase as the apology email simply wasn't looked at and was deleted. Not the best start eh? So I got my mate Sean to purchase it instead. I transferred him the cash and he did a bank transfer rather than a card payment (doh why didn't I think of doing it that way?)
To cut a long story short that was 7 weeks ago and I still have not received the product. They haven't even sent it yet (yes thats been confirmed by their CS support). Apparently they were sent a part box shipment which they somehow thought was a full box. Kind of understandable, however we have had no updates apart from the email response 4 weeks ago.
Now I know they receive shipments from TX around the 28th of each month and now 2 of those time slots have come and gone yet still nothing. I'm pretty sure there aren't a lot of other UK traders dealing in the hardware I need and this guy seems to know it but taking the piss out of customers is a big no-no or they end up writing about it if they have any sense to warn the community.
Beware of purchasing from MrConsoles (previously named MrModchips in the UK) clearly customer services doesn't exist and they have become steadily worse at what they do cos thats now a 5 week wait for one product and 7-8 weeks still waiting on another. I may as well not have bothered cos it was a favour for a friend yet is now becoming a pain in the arse.
WATCH OUT!
