Alright, this is my first rant. But anyway, here it is. I don't usually feed in to internet trash talk, but this time, it's been taken too far. Obviously, none of you know this about me: I am very very against people making fun of self harm. And I got on ifunny (a cellular app) and went through collective (Section for the images to get there initial likes for a chance to be featured) which I normally don't do. But this time, I did. I saw an image on there, and I was purely disgusted at it. I saw an image of someone whose forearms were cut about 2/inch of the arm, all the way up to the elbow. I was a little upset by the image, but there was a caption on it that read "Is your joke still funny?". This was a very strong message to me. Then under that image, was another that read "Comedy Gold" and in the comments of said photo were a bunch of people ranting about how they hoped everyone who self harmed would do it more until they died. THIS IS NOT OKAY. If any of you think that, I automatically don't like you. If you think making fun of someone who thinks life is so bad, they have to cut themselves, is funny... You need to just stop. I don't want to get too deep about this, I'll just infuriate myself even further. But please, if you are someone like I mentioned, just take a step back. Think about others feelings before you say something like that. That's truly a horrible thing to think/say. And to anyone who thinks there problems aren't that bad, I have a saying by me. "Just because I'm not a starving homeless person, or just because others have it worse, doesn't mean I can't be unhappy." So yeah.. that's it. I just wish people would stop... Thanks for listening to my rant.. /rant

As bad as it is, you can't really stop people making jokes out of things they shouldn't really be.
But yes it is wrong.

I don't agree with self harm. I think it's ridiculous. I don't know why you would cut yourself to relieve stress and what not. But then again, I would never put myself in a position to where I made someone do that.

It's hard to explain.. I can try if you'd like. I know from experience.

Making fun of people is horrible because no-one knows what they are thinking or the extremes of what they may do.
With that being said, some do it as they feel that inflicting pain on themselves is somewhat healing or they would rather inflict pain on themselves as a punishment instead of inflicting it on others. Whilst some alternatively just do it for attention.

I believe self-harm is mainly streamed towards attention seeking tbh.

It was also seem to be 'jumping on the bandwagon' when people 'cut for beiber'.

Yeah people reckon they can join a certain "Group" because other people would feel "Sorry" for them and their friendships would be built on pity. Pretty stupid on their behalf.

I don't think I ever personally knew anyone who did it, but it still tears me up inside to see even strangers doing it. It's depressing. I don't care why kids (or people in general) are doing it, but they should never have to go through that. People are low to make fun of them. None of them have any place to do that, I guarantee it.

XeMagic wrote I believe self-harm is mainly streamed towards attention seeking tbh.well you obviously have never met someone whos actually broken.... you gotta understand the difference between attention seeking and then keeping it to yourself. to be completely fair i dont agree with it, but all people have a diffrent way of handeling stress. it dosent make them attention seekers UNLESS they post it on social media (facebook, instagram, twitter ETC)
