I'm pretty satisfied with the X1, I just wish that I would've waited for more games to be released, such as Destiny and the Halo Collection.

You must not have played/spoke much on PC. Players are very friendly since I switched to the platform last year. When I used to play ps3 and xbox all I would hear is arguing and shouting. And more people are playing PC every year, eventually they will grow to be as popular a consoles.

I like xbox one only problem is that not many people have it and there are't many good games out for it. Don't really blame friends either. No point since the top games on xbox one are for xbox 360 also

I jumped on the early band wagon and ended up getting all three next gen consoles. I was going to get them all at one point, but I saw that they were in stock at the store so I said screw it.
I personally like the Wii U the most when I have friends over, as we can play a lot of party games. There are some good games coming out for it this year, and the next, which will cause more people to get the console.
Xbox one is okay. I played it at the start, but it just doesn't have any games that keep me interested. I could play a lot of the games on PC, or PS4. The only reason why I still use it is to mess around with a lot of my friends, as that is their console of choice.
PS4 is my second favorite due to me growing up as a sony fan. I really enjoy the playstation plus feature, and I got to try a few games I was looking at buying as well.
PC gaming will always be growing, and they wont have to worry about the consoles taking any of their player base. If anything, people will just get a wii u for couch gaming with friends.

I posted a topic in The Rant a couple days ago about this. I'm too lazy to repost all of what I said, so I'll summarize it.
Resolution isn't that important, neither is framerate. You can't even tell the difference between 720p and 1080p half the time, they hardly make a difference in the graphics of a game, with textures and colours being more important than resolution. Plus, graphics aren't the most important thing in a game, the gameplay is.

Honestly? Not at all. I have been on my 360 more than my Xbox One this year I think! Had my Xbox One since Christmas, and it's just not fun. The graphics are great for me still, as my laptop isn't gaming spec as it is (It's not bad, just not amazing).
Once the newer games come out, it should be better. But right now, I'm not happy with it!

It seems like your are horribly misinformed around the ideas of resolutions and framerates. Anyone who has played in 1080p will definitely see an improvement over 720p, maybe it's just the case that you haven't seen anything better. But saying "You can't even tell the difference between 720p and 1080p half the time" is just a massive misinformed lie.
Youtube is a horrible comparison as the videos are compressed. The differences will be minimal in a youtube video, when you actually play the game it looks much better.
Framerate is a deal breaker for me, 30fps is borderline unplayable for me.
I took a look at your "rant" and looks as if there is more that you don't understand.
"A few years ago, no one cared about resolution." This is because people on consoles were playing on 8 year old hardware and accepted the fact that the hardware cannot achieve high resolutions in games. But now "next gen" is here people start to realise that it is unacceptable that games are not reaching 1080p 60fps in 2014 as it has been a standard for many PC gamers for a long time.
"Who still plays the original Crysis today? Almost nobody, because the graphics on Crysis are worse than today's games" This made me laugh because the original Crysis is one of the best looking games ever made, If you play Crysis on PC maxed out then it looks better than most console games coming out today, and that came out in 2007.
"great graphics doesn't make a game, gameplay does" This is true but seems silly to sacrifice your experience. It's like watching a film, you could watch it on your phone, or in an IMAX cinema, yes, the film is going to be just as good, but you will have a better experience in the IMAX cinema, compared to watching a film on your phone. The same can be said for games, why should you have to sacrifice your experience?

So by that logic, games such as Star Fox 64, Goldeneye, Super Smash Bros Melee, Kingdom Hearts 2, LoZ: Ocarina of Time, etc are all unplayable to you. Well, it's nice to see that you've shut yourself out of playing the vast majority of great video games.

If you actually read the post, and the rant, you would realize that my entire point is that it doesn't matter. Resolution isn't that important, does it make a difference? Potentially, but the difference is minuscule and a 720p game with great textures, lighting etc, will look much better than a 1080p game without those. Even if they both have great textures, lighting, etc, the differences between the two are hardly there.
Well, unless you play your games zoomed in of course.

I beg to differ, but that's irrelevant. Back onto my point, who really plays the original Crysis today? Almost nobody. However, if you look at a game like Super Mario Bros, or LoZ: Majora's Mask, tons of people are still playing those. Hell, people are still playing Super Smash Bros Melee. Compared to today's games, the graphics on the games I just mentioned suck. However, people still play them. Why? Well, "great graphics doesn't make a game, gameplay does".

This isn't necessarily the case. Titles such as [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , Fez, Super Meat Boy, Cave Story, and many, many more fantastic games are all retro-style games. If these games had ultra-realistic 3D graphics, they would be a whole lot worse. The artistic style of the games would be lost, and much of the charm, game mechanics, and feel of the game would also be lost. I wouldn't want to play a game like Super Meat Boy with ultra-realistic graphics, and it would make the experience a lot worse as the whole point with games like those is to mimic the dated graphics of the past.
Also, let's look at a more recent game; Mario Kart 8. If you didn't know already, MK8 is the Wii U's best-selling video game, and it is viewed by many as one of the best Mario Kart games ever. Now, this game runs at 720p/60FPS. Not 1080p, but 720p. Yet, almost every reviewer has commented on the fantastic graphics. Here's a quote from a reviewer at the A.V. Club,
AV Club wrote This game puts the lie to the idea that Wii U titles are crippled by weak graphics hardware: Mario Kart 8 looks better than anything Ive seen yet on the Xbox One or the PlayStation 4.
To be quite honest, I didn't even know it did not run on 1080p until I googled it. You don't need 1080p to make a game with good graphics, nor does it really make a difference. You mention that I would be sacrificing "my experience" with running anything slightly less than 1080p/60FPS, but if there's no experience to sacrifice, what's the point? Graphics look awesome in 720p as well, and it's much more about the textures, lighting etc, as Mario Kart proves, and that's on the Wii U. You can argue all you want about minuscule specs that don't make much of a difference, but at the end of the day, gameplay is what makes a game fun, not graphics.

You should not believe everything that you read on the internet, If you have seen a game at 1080p then you would not be saying that you "cannot see the difference". Resolution is not a game aspect, it's a technical aspect, 1080p has around 2.25 more pixels than 720p. which means there is more information on screen, fact. Yes, distance does affect this but there is still more information on the screen, simple.
It's not that they are unplayable its that they cause headaches and eye strain, If I were to sit down and play them for a few hours a day eventually my eyes will adjust and get used to the low framerate, but why should i have to? This is 2014 and technology is advancing rapidly, there is no excuse for these "next gen" consoles to not be able to output games at 60fps. There are some exceptions where 30fps would be acceptable maybe point and click games and such, but with the mojoraty of AAA games today being FPS/Action games 60fps should be a standard.
If you actually read the post, and the rant, you would realize that my entire point is that it doesn't matter. Resolution isn't that important, does it make a difference? Well, unless you play your games zoomed in of course.
If you didn't know, Developers do not make games at low resolutions, they create games at higher resolutions on PC and then test them on console hardware, if the console cannot handle it they then lower the resolution, a game at 1080p will still have the same lighting etc at 720p but more pixels are being rendered so the image is a lot sharper and clearer. If this is not true then why do developers render their trails, TV spots and gameplay videos at super high resolutions running on superior hardware?
I beg to differ, but that's irrelevant. Back onto my point, who really plays the original Crysis today? Almost nobody. This makes no sense at all, low resolutions do not make a game worse, its the art style that sells the games, and the game itself, but without a doubt these games will benefit from being rendered at a higher resolution.
This isn't necessarily the case. Titles such as [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , Fez, Super Meat Boy, Cave Story, and many, many more fantastic games are all retro-style games. You seem to be very misunderstood, we are talking about Resolution not Graphics, i agree Super Meat Boy would be worse with super realistic graphics, but on topic, regarding resolution the game will look much better at 1080p compared with 480p for example.
Also, let's look at a more recent game; Mario Kart 8. If you didn't know already, MK8 is the Wii U's best-selling video game, and it is viewed by many as one of the best Mario Kart games ever. You seem to be missing the point...
Mario Kart 8 has fantastic graphics, i agree, but resolution is another thing.
The simple truth is this, if the "next gen" consoles are capable of running games at 1080/60 then it will become a standard, because there are obvious advantages over 720/30 but console gamers are forced to live with this because they have purchased these "next gen" machines which have outdated hardware on day one.
