Maplin charge the most for most hardware. When I bought my CPU, Maplin were charging 40 quid more than Scan were.

Increase your budget a little and you can get this,
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M
CPU: AMD FX6300 3.50Ghz six core (over clockable to 4.1Ghz)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB (8GB) 1600Mhz
Graphics card: AMD MSI Radeon 7770 1GB DDR5
HDD: Western digital 1TB 7200RPM
DVD drive: Samsung 28x
PSU: Corsair 430w
Case: Cooler Master CM force 500
this build totals 369.95 GBP this will be able to run minecraft and I think GTA at low settings but you'll have to spend more the 250 to get a pc to run GTA, All parts here are from amazon

That's good. You can save a lot by getting the RAM/DVD second hand, perhaps even the GPU too.
