It bugs me when there is a bias on newer members. Being apart of three other communities aside from this one, I've seen this often.
Statistics such as reputation and posts don't really mean much. I've seen a few posts here degrading newer members, yes, we have barely any posts with little to no rep. The thing is I'd say that a fair amount of newer members are users from other sites with a more reputable status than they do here.
We all start somewhere and build up. Even if a user is a beginner to a forum, why not welcome them and treat them as if you would others.
I've yet to have a problem with anyone here, even if I did I wouldn't go and make a thread about it. Just making this upon seeing threads about others.
Just because a member is newer doesn't mean that you should blacklist them.

This is a very common social stigma.
For instance, seniors in high school tend to mistreat or degrade freshmen.
It's very idiotic since your date joined shouldn't come into question when judging someone based off of their character.
But you shouldn't let some 'senior' members bug you with their rash generalizations.

I recently gifted a new member with 38 posts as I thought he was a nice member, therefore I am not bias.
But with that being said, I think that seeing someone which a good post count and high rep shows their activeness but it shouldn't alter someone's decision when gifting or whatever as those very few posts that they may have been helpful due to answering questions.

I've gifted one, maybe two, members with a low post count gold strictly because I thought they were nice members, and I saw them helping others on other topics.
Being bias is one thing I am not.

I do not like the newer members who blatantly disregard the rules and post whatever anywhere. I don't like those type of new members. That's just how I am. But I'm not gonna judge a newer member unless they give me a reason too. Just how I am on this subject.

You have a valid point my friend, I'm a rather new member here myself and don't have a lot of posts or reputation as you can see, but on other forums, I have anywhere between 100-1000 reputation.

If you judge on join date, post count, rep, etc you're obviously a poor judge of character.
I'm not a religious guy, but treat others as you would like to be treated is an all around good motto to live by, including online interactions.
I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but then again it can be difficult. On an off note, I've seen you around a bit recently and you seem like a pretty nice dude.

I agree 95% It's usually the new users leaching off of everyone else, but that's the occasuioal bad apple. Sorry if any spelling mistakes I'm on my phone

Everyone starts somewhere, and I've personally helped out a lot of "newbies" on the GTA forums.
