Hey I was wondering this.. Your background for YouTube has to be no bigger than 256k, but whenever I make my bg less than 256k it just looks shit... Anyone have any idea to make it better quality but smaller? KThxBai.

are you rendering it for web?

cause if not the quality will be severy damaged and the size will be how you want it however if you render for web it'll be much better quality and a smaller size than you think meaning you can optimise quality alot more than you think

good luck

thats just a lie , as long as its under 500K it will upload
also save as a .PNG for better quality.

if the file gets too big with .png save as jpg and it should still upload

(youtube say only 256k cause they want to save on bandwidth or something but it still lets you upload if its a little over 256k
