You could apply for realistic jobs such as in retail stores and potentially be a paper boy, at the end of the day it will get you some income.
Best of luck with getting a job.

Yop wrote A month after I turned 16, I applied for a well known restaurant in Canada, and worked my way up to a cook(chef). I'm now 17, and work at 2 restaurants, full time through the summer. I started out doing dishes, only making $10.40/hr, which is not bad for what I did. Now I make $17.65/hr at one restaurant, and $15.00/hr.got dang man! keep doing what your doing
What kind of work would you be interested in? Inside work or outside work?

Jon-Snow wrote Hello I'm 16 years old and live in England, as I'm a gamer I am going to need to earn a bit of money with all these new games coming out, my question is as it is in the title, what jobs can I get?
Well because you are at the age of sixteen the only jobs you could possibly get is what I have listed below for you.
1.) News Paperboy
2.) Cart Pusher
3.) Truck Unloader
4.) Mowing Lawns
5.) Babysitting
6.) Fast Food Restaurant
7.) Busboy
That's all I can think of right now, I hope I've helped you.

As Catalyst said, I am currently sixteen and I work at Walmart.
(Fun place.. I know... -.-)
I work as either a cart pusher or truck unloader, depending on which side needs more people.
It's not the best job but hey, it gets you money.
There's plenty of places to get jobs being 16.
Just take a look around such as restaurants, retail stores, ect.
Most places hire 16/17 year olds.
That's my advice.
Good luck my friend!

I just got lucky and always worked for my Dad's business growing up.

Most fast food restaurants will hire you I believe. I'm in the US and I started working as a cashier at a fast food restaurant when I was 15.

Try to be a busboy at a local restaurant. The restaurant industry is a great place to start out because there are a bunch of them and there are many positions that they can use that would need a young person to work part time. But you could be a host, server, or busboy at a restaurant.
Busboys are usually the best because you just clean up after others and get tips for it. Servers might get tips. Hosts will work on a wage. Busboys will not make minimum wage, they'll make less than that but you make back your money off tips and I've heard of friends that make double of minimum wage because they work at a good restaurant where they make great tips on top of their hourly wage. Busboys also usually don't need experience. Being a server would require experience usually and you would have to communicate with people that can be nice or mean. Hosts don't need experience usually but they work off a flat wage which won't get you money quickly but it will consistently.
Explore around your area though, you should find an abundance of great jobs for a 16 year old.
