I wanted to know which one would be best.The 270 costs less than the 265.Which do you guys think is best?

It's quite obvious...

The 270 is the best card of the two. Normally on AMD cards, the higher the number = the higher the tier.

Giga is correct. This also applies to cards from Nvidia. Also the prefix. If it is a GT 630 it will not be as good as a GTX card.

GT: Not a gaming specific card
GTX: Meant for gaming/editing

A GTX 770 is not as good as a GTX 780.

Also you can tell the card family from the first number. 7 is current, 6 is last, etc. 8 is the next family branch.
