I wanna purchase one off of ebay, but I'm scared I will be clueless once I get it and not be knowledgeable about what to download on my computer and how to install the menu because so far youtube vids aren't that much help.

Technically it is against eBays rules to sell pre-modded consoles. I know they get through from time to time, but it's not "officially" allowed. I'd suggest taking a look at some of the sellers over in the Xbox 360 Marketplace here on TTG. If you use a trusted seller you are sure to get a good console, support, and probably a better deal than on eBay.

If you really want the ultimate way to learn about them, consider RGHing a console yourself. The supplies to do so aren't too expensive and you'd learn a ton in the process.

if you are going to buy a jtag/rgh just for the modded cods then dont waist your money

it is a shame these days that all people want a modded xbox for is for mods..no they are used for many other things and there is so much to do with them like run emulators like snes 360 and play nintendo 64 games on it or even make your own game if you know how but moral is dont buy one just for cod mods

If I were you, I would not buy a JTAG until you do some very thorough research. You can't just buy a JTAG, plug it in and go hack S***, lol. :2thumbsup:

I do not agree with this point. People buy them to mod games. Why else would you get one? Just to do homebrew? Ya. Bull shit. If I wanted to play N64 games or NES, I'd use a PC. At one point everyone that owns a Jtag/Rgh said, "I should get a modded console to mod CoD". That is why they are popular. That is mostly why they are still made. Notice how at one point when Jtags couldn't go online the sells of them dropped drastically. That's because they had no point. People who say "Don't get a jtag just to do mods" are Hippocrates. OP: If you want a Jtag/RGH go for. They are easy to operate and fun to use.

I've modded literally hundreds of consoles into JTAG/RGH before coming to TTG, and while I agree that a lot of the consoles that I have sold here on TTG are probably being purchased and used for modding the vast majority of them that I sold locally here in the Denver area were purchased for their homebrew capability.

NES, SNES, Genesis, MAME, PSX, and all the other emulators (along with piracy if I'm honest) were the main reasons a lot of people bought consoles from me and keep them completely offline.

Having made 100's of consoles over the last 5 or so years I had never once even taken one of my own creations online until the release of the "sawyer" files a couple months back, and then I only did it once to say that I had.

So no, not everyone buys a JTAG/RGH for the COD mods.
