So I was about to check my email when I saw this

When Nathan Steffel's infant daughter, Sophia, died after spending her six weeks of life in a hospital with tubes to help her breathe, he turned to Reddit with a simple request.

My daughter recently passed away after a long battle in the children's hospital. Since she was in the hospital her whole life we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?

The painful appeal by Steffel, who lives in Ohio, was answered by a collection of kindhearted individuals who edited Sophia's photo just as Steffel asked. The results were stunning.

Redditor funkybrewster posted this version and wrote, "This is super late but I really wanted to help out too. Here's my attempt. I hope I didn't overdo it on the color correction."

Steffel was clearly touched by the efforts.

"This is really amazing," he wrote on Reddit. "Everyone you have made my day. All I wanted was a nice picture. What I received was a lot of love and support from a bunch of strangers. A long with a lot of great photos, drawings and paintings. Thanks everyone!"

Credits to the reddit users who made the pictures, and yahoo for posting this article.

But after reading this I was touched, And gives me hope that not all users on the internet are complete A*******. But I looked at the reddit page, and what was even more surprising was the amount of people who continued to Photoshop the original picture. Its amazing when people do this and just makes me feel better about people. But thats all I have to say about this and I would like to see what you guys think.

This is truly amazing, I remember the first day it was on the front page on Reddit. I read all the comments and I certainly knew that this family would be touched by what they were saying and doing.

This is a truly amazing thing of a graphic designer.

Whoever did this for him made him the happiest man in the world, and gave him the picture without all the tubes and hospital equipment!

What's even more amazing is people are still continuing to edit the original photo and submit more to him even thought he only wanted 1

This really does melt my heart.

If you look through the news section you see death, crime and hate everywhere.

When someone needed that little bit of help to make their life a little easier, so many have stepped forward and used their time and skill to help another.

Faith in humanity....Restored
