Can someone help me with the open tray problem? I have tried about 6-8 methods and none are working. Will +Rep if you help. Btw Microsoft thanks for selling a product that sucks major d*ck.
For those who don't know, this problem is when you put a disc in the disc drive and close it, it still says open tray. Please help.

Top the top of the system where the disk spins at it doesnt work rite away keeep tryin an u have to tap hard an fast

you may have a scratched laser...solutions include
-new disc drive
-new laser
a lot of times it says open tray if it cant recognize the disc as anything
for example it recognizes and xbox 360 game as a game
and all others as a dvd or mixed media disc
and if it cant recognize it as any of these it says open tray

What I do:
1)Try it with the disc.
2)Open it and take the disc out and close.
3)Put the disc back in.
Try it a few times, it works for me

why dont you try a new disc just to see if its your xbox or the game , then just search how to fix it on youtube or the forums.

I have that error and if you just keep on opening then closing the disk slot it should work
