do you need some sort of DLC to find one or to equip one and use on your character ?

no you do not need any dlc although you do find more in the dlc's. the pearlescent weapons are very rare drops so you will most likely fin one if you keep killing loot bosses


Pearlescent are Ultra rare weapon found in Borderlands 2, they can be obtained by Ledgendary Loot Migets. (such as Jimmy Jekins)

I think they're part of a dlc but you don't need the dlc to use them

I've did every mission and I haven't found any just like the infinity they are rare but get the dlc and you can buy them
