Astro_Modding wrote The real reason its going down so slowly is because the community that wants all these mods thinks all this is free and wont pay but were these free online files are out i think alot of the modders are coming back online "Like me"
So guys why this is still out use it as much as possible
And if someone needs the offline files add me on skype cause if someone will help me with this game rip ill tell you how to set it up

The community back in the day used to release, share and kind of teach people how to mod and just mostly sharing useful information. Tools released for free, research was actually done by the community and not specific members (sometimes but mostly the community was interactive) which was actually better.
As I said, money ended up being a strong factor somehow, maybe because of knowledge or maybe just something else.
Kind of sucks and the only way it's going to change is that the community actually becomes like what it was before.
I have to say actually, some tools were sold but it was kind of worth it since no one else released anything about it, whereas now free knowledge is actually being sold.
Example: ApparitionNET
TurboNET
and the rest of the kiddies tools

Don't people still release tools on the download section? And don't pretty known people on youtube give download links to their mod tools?

Oh, so basically this is sort of a selfish community now since people don't share their tools and ideas with other people anymore? If that's the case I wonder why.

The community has turned into more of a competition than anything imo. Everyone wants to be the next droseum20, ZZ9 x iHaXoRZz or teh1337 but no one is comfortable just being the guy who mods for fun. I definitely don't feel apart of a community anymore, more like a racetrack where everyone is trying to get to the next big thing first.

People would actually release some great stuff in this forum and now it has pretty much stopped. No one wants to help other people just for the sake of helping. Other people constantly want to ddos other people because they know too much or whatever. The modding community is really going down hill and to be honest, I am surprised that it is still going around. In the next few years, nothing will change people will still be charging for tools or saying that they have made a new way to mod the game so everyone immediately rushes to that game and doesn't pay attention to the world around them.

The people who released stuff way back when were generally older. Let's face it, the majority of us on this forum are from 14-18 years old. The people who released stuff are now in college or have jobs. Now it's a matter of ignorance as to why this forum is useless. People have no idea how to code and also too, the admins are a big factor as to why people are no longer here. One of my friends got banned for absolutely no reason. Coming to these forums now is a downer, it will never be the same. Welal, that's my rant, I am ready for my 19th IP ban admins.

Lol you got that right. But I never really experienced what it used to be back then since I wasn't into modding. But should I get an rgh, or wait until the community stops being so competitive with each other if that will ever happen. Because I thought if I get an rgh I would have fun with it hosting lobbies for people with no charge, and use the other great things the rgh can do. But not too sure since the community isn't in harmony anymore.

Only get one for the purpose of learning how to code. Hosting lobbies for free will bore the hell out of you eventually. It's fun every once in a while, but if you do, enjoy the frequent KV bans.
