Trying to see peoples opinions on this topic for fun & see which they prefer.
For example: Do you enjoy Pokemon Yellow more than the new XY series ??

It's hard for me to choose because as a kid I loved playing Pokemon Yellow so much that I had over 300 hours of play time on it. I also love X/Y because it's a new take on an old formula with little references to the other games.
I have to say though that if you had a gen 1 game made with the graphics of today it would be amazing, however if it possibly wouldn't appeal to kids as much as it did when the games first came out nearly 20 years ago.
Personally though, as much as I love the older games for nostalgia purposes, I have to give my preference to the gen 6 games. Had you proposed this question about gen 4/5 vs 1/2/3 then I would've preferred the older games easily since I didn't really enjoy the gen 4/5 games.

The classics are always gonna be better but the new generations aren't too far behind. I love the new games and they're getting better and better with each release. I hope Pokmon ORAS lives up to the hype that the originals had a few years ago.

The older ones were the best but I do like the new features on the more recent games.
