So i recently had a guy look at my computer and told me i had viruses but he wanted 85 dollars to fix it.. I do not have that kind of money and was wondering if any one new some good virus removing programs. Or if someone could remote connect and fix it that would be awesome. And if your thinking of stealing personal info dont even try lol ive never logged in on any sort of site that uses personal info and i dont have a credit card.
I also have icons on the taskbar that blink a yellowish tone and says its stopped working. Some examples are sync up, dell support

I would recommend backing up all your personal files and restore your PC. And then install Avast to protect you.

Are you sure there a viruses?

The PC guy might just want some money.

The PC guy is a professional and ive had used him before on a different laptop that i bought off of ebay. And he said there were viruses on my laptop but i didnt want to pay the 85 dollars. I keep having programs pop up and say that they have stopped working and windows is looking for a solution.

There may be something wrong, but it doesn't sound like malware. Hitman Pro is a second opinion malware scanner that should pick up anything other programs may have missed. It may find a lot of tracking cookies, but those are normal and not malware.

SyncUp and Dell support are also not necessary so you can remove them if they are causing trouble. It sounds like the normal issue of too much crap being installed and poorly maintained. Uninstalling programs you know you don't need through the control panel is a good start.
