I wouldn't not get one if I were you...
They tend to have many problems later on down the road. They will cost you a fortune in oil, you have to change it every 1000 miles or so. The engine is the main problem.
They do have 4 seats which is nice and they sound and look nice as well.
I'm just going to tell you that the engine is going to cost you a lot over time. So if you have extra money for it then go ahead. They car sounds pretty nice.
When you start it up, from the outside it sounds like it's not going to start and then quietly just turns on which I think it pretty funny because people will think your car isn't going to start.
Unless you know how to take car of a rotary engine, do not get it.

I would not buy it. I'm pretty sure the RX-8's older than 2007 all had engine failure. Still do some research but I personally wouldn't buy it.

Its a rotary engine sports car... 1. insurance will be sky high compared to average commuter cars 2. maintenance and repairs will be high 3. don't expect the engine to last too long. 4. if i remember right rx8's get horrible gas mileage.

I have an 08 one its beautiful to drive and i love it!
they are very thirsty on fuel and oil.
it depends on which one you get for the insurance i suggest the 192 bhp version since its your first car and dont buy an auto one either!!
also do your research these take alot of looking after and if you dont its gonna cost you down the line

just a few points here;
- I've heard they have a few problems
- how much will insurance be as it'll be your first car
- in all black cars you're most likely to crash (don't shoot the messenger I heard it on test driving programme)
- what do your parents think?
