Modding tools
Thanks to Cathering at 7s for this easy installer

This is a compilation of common XBOX 360 GTA IV modding tools. The reason I'm posting this is because it's a windows installer meaning the installer will automatically install all the tools to your program files folder and the corresponding shortcuts into the start menu. Other benefits from an installer include: easy uninstallation (through programs and features) and silent installation using standard MSI switches.

Programs included:

  • Open IV 0.9.11.202 (pre-configured)
  • San Andreas GXT Editor 1.3.7.2
  • IV Needle 1.5.1.0
  • Xbox Backup Creator 2.9.0.306 (with MSCOMCTL.OCX)
  • GTAIV.exe 1.0.0.0 (in Open IV's program folder)


Works on: Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Tutorial on how to install these mods
Thanks to Lagoria at 7s for this in depth tutorial.

What you need.

  • EFLC iso (download from thetechgame.com)

  • and of course... v5.0 (give these guys some love, they did a great job.)


1. Open up Xbox Backup Creator

2. Navigate to the "Image Tools" tab and click on "Image Browser"

3. You should now be here:

4. Now, click file, open, navigate to your Episodes From Liberty City iso, and open it.

5. Right click on "common.rpf" and click replace, replace it with the "common.rpf" included in 5.0

6. Click on "DLC1", right click on "DLC.rpf", and replace it with the DLC1 rpf file included in 5.0

7. Click on "DLC2", right click on "DLC.rpf", and replace it with the DLC2 rpf file included in 5.0

8. Now click on the [+] in front of "xbox360" to extend the archive

9. Click the [+] in front of "data" to extend the archive even further

10. Now click on the [+] in front of "maps" to extend the archive once more.

11. Click on "manhat" and right click -> replace "manhat01.img" with the one included in 5.0

12. Now click on "jersey" and right click -> replace "nj_01.img", "nj_02.img", and "nj_03.img" with the ones included in 5.0

13. Next, click on "east" and find "queens_e.img" and "queens_m.img" and just like before, right click -> replace with the ones included in 5.0

14. You can now click on "file" and "close image"

15. You can now exit Xbox Backup Creator and open Img Burn

16. Click on "write image file to disk"

17. You should now be here:

18. Click on the magnifying glass, and navigate to your iso's .dvd file, open it. (you can get this by running your iso through abgx)

19. Make sure your writing speed is 2.4

20. Click "write" and have fun!

I am using the latest Imgburn and the settings don't really matter honestly as the .dvd sets the layerbreak for you. The speed I personally use for mods is either 4x or 8x depending on the discs I use. I usually do 8x for memorex and 4x for verbatims.

Already proved who I was on first page, and how do you think I have the watermarked GTA IV v1.0 mods posted here and same with 7s and Gametuts although my game-tuts name is different than these two.

Yea the video could have been better but I never really bothered with making a better one. You can thank Lagoria for the tut at 7s.

There are people changing a few things and calling them higher numbers to get people to buy them that's all.
