I had no intention of doing that, I'm sorry that I spoiled part of the series for you two. I have removed the part where I go into the main character, so at the very least, my post only references what the Death Note does.

Yea I would. In fact, just before I saw this thread I was imagining my life with a death note.

I'd like to take the moral standpoint and say I wouldn't use it, but as they bring up in the show, anybody would be tempted to at least try it. A lot of the manga really pushes you towards this question, on if you would have the ability to do such a thing. Also realistically, it would probably be way easier to get away with in real life without a super detective coming after you.

If I had to use it, I'd say something like put down people who are in too much suffering. For example I have a relative dying of cancer who always says he just wants it to end quickly. Something along those lines

I wou;d use a death note but not the way Light used it. I would cleanse the world of bad people but i wouldnt kill every criminal and any good person who stands in my way. Drunk with power much.
