I have just brought a xbox one without kinect and it's making a grinding sound and it's not showing any picture can some please help me with this problem

Make sure your Xbox One is plugged into the HDMI-out part NOT the HDMI-in.
A few people have fixed this issue by flipping over the console and hitting the bottom of where the disc drive is located. Apparently it fixes a part that is out of place or something.

I personally would be hesitant to do this to something that I spent $400 on and wouldn't to use it as a permanent fix. I would send it into Microsoft and they will either give you a replacement or fix it.
