I had recently bought a Jasper RGH with a 60 GB HDD and everything was going fine installing all the necessities. However, when I installed Xbdm on Dashlaunch and tried to reboot I am confronted with the dreadful E71 error. My console will now not boot with the HDD in but has no issues booting without it. This is weird because reading around people are telling me this is a failed update. However, I didnt update anything.

So would cleaning the HDD of Xbdm fix my issue or would it have to be something else? Thanks guys.

Ok i have this problem alot. What you can do is use a Hdd to Usb cable and format the harddive and it should work again when you go to Storage settings on the xbox
FORMAT IN NTFS

Would formatting it really be necessary? What if I used the HDD to USB onto my computer and just deleted Xbdm.xex?

What do you mean never worked for you? Have you tried to delete singular files off of the HDD via a computer program?
