Im personally saddened by this as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare got me big into online gaming and now I can't even go back to re-live the nostalgia without running into a modder/modders, It just ruins the gameplay. It's beginning to happen on MW2 now which saddens me even further.

I get annoyed by it a bit because it's just a waste of a game if there's a person using god mode or invisibility etc

You're only looking at the negative aspect of it. The script kiddies with R2Rs.
Think about the good modding on CoD. Custom game modes, custom maps for zombies on W@W.
