i have a 1tb external hdd and my rgh crashes when i play games off of it.

1TB might be a little too much memory, I noticed a significant change in loading time between my 250GB and my 500GB. The highest I'd go is 500GB. If you can, try making it internal.

I have a 1TB internal with a 2TB external with no trouble.

Are you on the latest dashboard with the avatar/kinect files installed?
Is it giving a can't read disk or actually shutting off?
What game are you trying to play?
Are you trying to mod the game you are trying to play?
We need more info than just the size of the drive to be able to help you.

If your playing burned games it has to be a flashed console I'm sure u know that but yeah 1tb is big maybe to big

im trying to load my the game off just the external hdd and my xbox crashes and freezes the screen but i only have gta v aand bo1 on it but they both crash.

i think its a bad install try installing the game again
