Killstreak from a nuke

Can anybody explain this?
The other day my friend called in his nuke when he was 35-0 and ended the game 43-1. After the game he went to look at his killstreak and it was 43. The kills from the nuke counted towards his kill streak.
I got a nuke a couple matches later and called it in when i was 33-0 and finished the the game 41-1. I went to go look at my killstreak and it was 33. The kills from the nuke didnt count towards my killstreak but it counted towards my friends.
Does anybody know how to get your kills from your nuke to count towards your kill streak?
My guess was if you call it inside and it kills everyone else before you than it counts towards your kill streak but im not sure.

This happens because:
When you call the nuke it also kills yourself
ALL the kills from Kills BEFORE the nuke has killed you count on your streak

Hmmm well when I got my first nuke I instantly pulled it and I went to my streak and it was 33 it counted for my killstreak.

yeah but my friend who called in the nuke at 35 kills has a 43 kill streak. The kills from his nuke counted and the kills from mine didnt because my killsteak is 33, and i endend the game 41-1 so there has to be a way to figure out how to make sure the kills from your nuke count for your killstreak.
