Sad story to hear to be honest.
Unfortunately I do not live in the US
so I didn't hear about this until now.

The thing is none of you guys know about how these cars work... You can barely see anything to the sides of you; there is no peripheral vision. Not only are sprint cars steered with the steering wheel, but also the throttle. Tony probably couldn't even see the guy, also the guy was wearing black, while the guy in front of tony almost hit the kid. You would have to be insane to go into a "Hot" track where the cars are still going. When you go into a turn you commit to a "Lane" you are going to drive in, it's very hard to make decisions in turns and even if you do turn a bit, it's delayed. I feel sorry for the kid, but this shit happens on short tracks, if it wasn't Tony Stewart, it would just be in the local papers.
TL;DR I don't hold Tony responsible, the cars are hard to control combined with poor vision due to lighting and the guys suit.

just my two cents... Why would a professional driver intentionally kill someone? He has to much to lose and Tony just is not that type of person.
To Ward, sorry but you had it coming, If it wasn't Tony then it would've been the car before him. You don't go in the middle of a track and expect a happy ending. That's something that Nascar has allowed for way to long. Stay in your damn car, unless its on fire.

I will go ahead and say this. Only a complete idiot will get on one of those tracks. If you never been to an outlaw race or sprint race, they literally water the track before each race so there's almost no traction on the track. Second at this moment no one can prove it was intentional or he purposely fishtailed. But hes in a full black suit, in the night on a dark race track and racers are wearing visors, Im suprised no one else hit him. But you dont confront a moving vehicle in the middle of a track. But what happened here was a young man got to hot headed and didn't carry out proper safety measures. There is a lesson to be learned though, CALM DOWN!

Hoen wrote Tony Stewart fish tailed it on purpose. He should be responsible for the death, manslaughter at the least?
The warning was on, which doesn't really excuse him getting out of his car but he was pissed and Tony saw him, purposely hit the gas and whipped him 50 years.
& he's racing Saturday? Pathetic. This should ruin his career.
So its his fault he walked out into a LIVE RACE and expect to be perfectly safe, something had to knock something off balance is his brain. NO ONE would walk onto that and why would Tony Stewart kill him? He ISN'T racing, your pathetic. I have respect for him, he wasn't the idiot that walked onto a live race thinking it would be perfectly safe.

Judging by what I see, I think he did hit him, But then again why was Kevin standing there in the first place?

Man, my favorites just seem to get wrapped into stuff. Unless they can prove Stewart turned into him on purpose, there is nothing against Stewart. There is no reason to be in the middle of a race track trying to stop a car. He avoided the other cars fine. He should have gotten off of the track at that point. Standing in the middle of the track with your hand out is not the smartest thing to do.

Stewart is innocent, Ward walked out into thr track to hurl abuse at Stewart and when he came round again he got far to close and Stewart clearly tried to stop or swerve out of the way but it just ended up in him clipping Ward which resulted in his death.
