How does it actually work? It says your opinion has been noted and I'm guessing you don't receive anything like rep for it.

Can you give upvotes/downvotes as much as you want?

Do you get anything for having upvotes or downvotes?

Someone explain please

You dont get anything from its. Its kindof like a "i dont like this post or i do like this post"

You can cast one vote on a post and cant change it.

An upvote or Downvote is just showing if the selected comment is useful or not.

You do not receive anything for doing it.

Yes, you can give as many upvotes or downvotes as you want.

Sadly the system is usually abused and people go haywire with it.

You don't get anything from it. You're simply noting your opinion on the person's comment.

Another thing, if a topic post receives enough Negative votes, it will start to fade.

You upvote a post if it us useful and downvote if it is not.

Can you give upvotes/downvotes as much as you want?: yeah sure

Do you get anything for having upvotes or downvotes?:
Go to your profile, click on forums and look for this : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

When someone upvotes one of your posts it counts towards the useful and the other way around for down votes.

Do you mean a post? I don't see a vote button for topics?
