Hey guys,

I have att uverse and my speed is 18mbps (currently the highest being offered in my area) my download speed on my mac is around 14-16 mbps. But for some strange reason when i download something the max it goes is around 1.8 mbps.

Same goes on my xbox one.. when i am running wireless it says that my speed is on average 0.80-3mbps.. I did the diagnostics on the network settings. My NAT TYPE is moderate.. it used to be strict until i switched to uverse... anyone know how to fix this to where i can get full speeds on the wifi for xbox one?

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Xbox One has a lot of Wi-Fi problems which I have experienced first hand, the main problem is that when you are far away the signal is lost rapidly. Also broadband is sold as Mbps (megabits per second) where as for download it is MBps (megabytes per second), two different units.

Hope I helped

1. You need to port forward your router to xbox one. Just google "port forwarding xbox one".

2. Change your wifi channel to 11, 6, or 1. These are the best ones to run wireless off of as they have the least amount of traffic.

All of this stuff can be changed in your router setup menu. To get there type in 192.168.1.1 this is the ip for most routers.
