If you don't have soldering experience I would stop right there and just get an led light and a DIY battery powered board and work on making the light work first. If you don't have any experience then you're most likely going to ruin the console.

After that, turn on your console and figure out if it's a 4GB model or not. To find out, just check the memory. If there's memory on there (around 3.2GB) then it's a Corona v2, and you won't need a NAND-X, but you will need the 4GB R/W NAND Programmer. They're generally harder to solder in because the points are extremely close together.

If you have the normal one without the 4GB then you have a v1 and it'll be a lot easier on you, but may cost more money. There are tons of alternatives, like the JR-Programmer, Super NAND Flasher etc.

I'd also recommend you get the DGX Stone or wait for the CR4 XL. I've only heard great things about those two chips on the Corona boards.

I've had tons of soldering experience. I've been working with my dad on electronics since I was about 5. So somewhere around 12ish years. I actually made my own lite-on flashing probe. I was going to get a CR3 because I don't want anything amazing, just something to run xex. As I stated the console is banned so it's really useless to me. It's a 320gb halo 4 edition so I'm guessing it's a V1. Also, thanks for the other alternatives, I'm ordering everything right now, I'm gonna take my time with this as I want to make it perfect lol.
