Why do you want advice you're not going to follow or even consider?

Anyways, I would go for this. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
It is outperformed by the Havik 140 as seen on Craigyy's source, but I don't think 1 Celsius is worth 20GBP.

What? I asked Craigyy for benchmarks for a reason you know
Anyway, thank you for your recommendation. Since it's cheaper, I'll probably end up getting it

Don't worry about AIO water coolers spilling water, they are made to prevent that and are covered by warranties. Motherboards are also made to resist warping/flexing when large air coolers are used.

I thought that too (regarding water) but if a leakage does occur, the warranty doesn't indefinitely cover damages to other components
Which is what I'm most concerned about
I'm also opposed to a large chunk of metal being hung off of my motherboard whilst using it as a brace

I used a refurbished H100 AIO for about a year with no troubles, they really aren't as fragile as people think.
Mounting hardware is made to adequately support the cooler, and none will warp the board. The only way a big cooler could would be if you moved the system a lot while the cooler was fitted, i.e if it was in transit.

As stubborn as I may seem, I was highly contemplating a nice refurb h100i for what I considered to be a decent price
I've tried to view it in a positive light, but the risks are still there and I cannot afford to replace any collateral damage
I'm aware that large heatsinks are safe, it's just principle

That's almost like saying "I won't cross the road because I could get hit by a car" which is true, but you use common sense and take the acceptable risk.

Well, it isn't really comparable because I trust in my own threat assessment and ability to cross short distances without being taken out of commission
Even with a closed loop like this, it isn't exactly rare. There's refurbs for a reason

It is rarer these days now progress has been made, its unlikely for one to leak, the most that would happen is pump failure.

For clarification, you're saying if I were to buy the h100/i - improvements have since been made after -all- the leaks?
