xChillest wrote I'm gonna throw some stats in here with my opinion. I believe guns should not be restricted. People should have a right to own a gun if they want.

Take a look at this.

When you try to ban guns, criminals still have access to buying guns over a black market. It's really not that hard, it's just like a normal website and you can go onto it and order them straight to your home. Regular citizens will not have access to these guns or will feel less of a need for these guns.

Criminals buy guns off a black market and then other people in that area WON'T BE ABLE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST HIM/HER.

Now, if everyone on your street had a gun and knew how to use it, would you really try to break in their home?

If you know everyone in a bank has a gun and knows how to use it, are you really going to walk in there and try to rob it?

Now tell me, why exactly do people want to ban guns completely? It really doesn't make any sense to me at all. And don't try to pull the "It makes the community safer" BS, because I just disproved that.

Yeah but you also forgot to take into account the amount of people in Sacramento compared to the amount of people in Salt Lake City. California is also the "West Coast". California probably has more gang related activities as well. It's like comparing New Yorks crime rate to that of a small city in Rhode Island.

Check out some percentages. Even though the populations are completely different, Sacramento shows a higher violent crime percentage even though it's only 1.15%, Salt Lake City shows 0.70% violent crime rate. (Percents out of total population)

It would reduce crimes, but then again, how can you protect yourself from lunatics?

Perfect phrasing because in the UK we don't own guns legally and the crime rate with guns are low

I agree although guns can be used for self defense, its better to have guns banned because it means criminals will have a lot harder of a time getting guns.

Not at all. This is where people get mistaken, it's so easy to buy a gun off the Dark Net. I could buy an AR and have it shipped to my front door, no registration or serial number. Not saying I would, but I have the ability to. I seriously still don't get why people don't understand that even though it's been pointed out multiple times.

It's ignorance that people believe that it's the gun that kills the person, when it's actually the person pulling the triggers fault.

You can also just buy gun parts then put them together but I think a website that sells guns would be easy as hell to track the orders from.

I do believe people should the right to have guns, but I do believe some limitations should be made (don't ask what because I do not know what or details) I specifically think ammo clips should be made smaller, that is honestly the only thing that bugs me.

But outright ban guns? Hell no I want my guns. And for people who say to outright ban them, clearly don't know anything, so no need to be bothered by them.

I dont think they should be banned but i think places that dont have guns should keep it that way. america has to much guns to just ban them now because it would cause massive problems.

True, I do think guns should still be banned in hospitals and things like that.
Like yea a doctor brought a gun to a hospital and killed a guy who was most likely about to commit a murder. But because one guy wants to murder someone, we shouldn't put more weapons into peoples hands.

Just my thought
