A Pentium wouldn't be nearly as good as a i7-4960X Extreme Edition, right? Anyhow, would a Pentium be as good as a i7-3610QM? I have the i7-3610QM in my laptop with 8gb of ram and I can run Skyrim on ultra with a few gb of mods installed. This Pentium is interesting...

Look at the price of the extreme edition, then the price of the Pentium G3258. The i7 will be better in more multi threaded tasks but in single or dual core tasks the Pentyhum will rule supreme.
