I got a Samsung 840 EVO yesterday and thought enabling RAPID would about double the performance, however that wasn't the case...

Is it normal for speeds to be this high? Just wondering.

That chart that you showed is inconclusive. Heck, I dont even know what its showing. Them numbers are way too high to be read & writes

Visit [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] page and test your SSD. I find its the best checker out there and you can see other systems similar to yours and see their scores.

read and writes.

Have you set it up as a ram drive.

Thats what it is saying which would explain a lot

That's because it kind of is a RAM disk. That's how the RAPID software works. In some cases, you'll see gigantic speed boosts.
