Whats the difference with 1 stick of 8GB RAM, And 2 sticks of 4GB ?
The processor can address memory in dual channel mode, meaning it can use both of those sticks at the same time, in theory doubling your memory bandwidth.

And if one dies your computer will still be usable until you can replace it.

Add a CPU cooler if you decide to overclock. 8GB RAM is more than enough for gaming. The R9 280 is a better GPU than the GTX 760 for a lower cost.
or, if you want a more powerful GPU, this is an option;

The G3258 will do fine in gaming and the R9 290 is a more powerful GPU than the R9 280. If you want to overclock the Pentium G3258, you don't need an aftermarket CPU cooler, the stock cooler will work fine.

That's a fair point, to be honest it's just as useful. Dual-channel difference isn't massive.
